ASH MANOR SCHOOL COMBINED CADET FORCE
For the past four years, AMS have been working very hard to get a Combined Cadet Force (CCF) unit opened in the school for the benefit of the students. Late last year the permission was given to form a CCF unit. Your head teacher then put into place a team to open and run the unit.
Lieutenant Nick Clifford is the Contingent Commander (CC) for AMSCCF, and over the last 8 weeks has done a lot of work behind the scenes to get staffing and facilities in order for the start date of 24 April 2017.
CC Lt. N Clifford, spoke to parents at the Parents Forum in January, explaining what the Cadet Force was all about. This was well received by the parents with many follow up questions during the evening.
AMSCCF will initially open with around 30 cadets. Any student in year 9 or 10 can apply to join, and there will be a selection procedure (don’t worry, it will be challenging but achievable) to select those young people who are dedicated to being a cadet and will get the most benefit out of the cadet experience. Once selected the students will officially be enrolled in the CCF and their journey will begin.
The application questionnaires are available in the Library in the “Careers Section” or speak to Captain Hutton (the School Staff Instructor).

If you have any questions please speak to Captain C Hutton, her office is based at The Bridge.
